Monica Miyasato is a Staff Developer Community Manager at Intuit and the global leader of Familia, Intuit’s LatinX employee resource group. She creates inclusive, developer-first experiences that connect and empower global engineering teams. Originally from Lima, Peru, Monica moved to the U.S. to pursue her education and earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley—a journey that fuels her commitment to increasing visibility and representation in tech.
Monica served as a committee member for Open Source Day at the Grace Hopper Celebration, where she helped design inclusive pathways for women and nonbinary technologists to break into open source. She also introduced Hacktoberfest at Intuit, creating space for both seasoned engineers and first-time contributors to explore open source together and connect through shared learning and impact.
With a deep passion for community and representation, Monica uses every platform she’s part of to lift others, spark curiosity, and open doors.
